Isis is the foundation bitch of our breeding program and brings the very best of personality, structure and temperament wrapped in a gorgeous shell of sweetness. Ever since I fell in love with Rhodesian Ridgebacks, I used to go to this particular RR photo gallery and I dreamed of one day having a ridgeback just like the one in those photos. Well, the dog whose photos I was looking at was Isis' sire Ceasar!
Isis is the proud daughter of BISS, International, Dutch, German, Belgian, and Luxembourg CH Ceasar van de Jack Bulls Hoeve who resides in Holland. Ceasar is the winner of a prestigious RRCN clubmatch in 2003 and 2004, BRABO winner in 2004, and the winner of BRRC and RRKD clubmatches in 2005.
Isis' dam is International, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Baltic, and Belorussian CH Neila Sinbest. Neila is a lovely temperament-tested bitch that holds a 2nd degree hunting diploma. Neila was whelped in Latvia and spent half of her life in Lithuania. In August 2011 she crossed the ocean and has permanently joined our family. We are so very happy to have her here! Isis comes from a typey and consistent litter of nine pups, no ridgeless, no dermoid sinus, little white, and 8 show ridges.
Isis has attained her American Kennel Club Champion title at the young age of seventeen months. Her wins include multiple best of breed and best of opposite sex placements, a four point major out of a puppy class at the prestigious International Chicago Kennel Club under Mrs. Barbara Dempsey Alderman at a tender age of 8 months old and making two cuts in BOB ring at the 2009 RRCUS National Specialty in Lansing, MI. Isis has also shown at the International Dog Shows in St. Louis, MO and was awarded a Reserve Best In Show title on June 21, 2009.
Of course, conformation is just a part of what this breed is great at! Isis has earned her Endurance Trial certification at RRCUS National Specialty in 2009, her AKC's Canine Good Citizen certification in 2008, and her Herding Instinct Title from American Herding Breed Association at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Rodeo in 2008. She also holds bird and small game qualifications from the Hunting Ridgeback Association, HRQ1 and HRQ2.
In April 2011, after taking nearly a 3 year break once she's earned her AKC Champion title, Isis has returned to the ring for her Grand Champion title which was just introduced by AKC. She finished in 5 weekends, never coming home without a ribbon, winning multiple BOS and BOB over top-ranked ridgebacks in the country. This girl has clearly passed the test of time. She only gets better with age!
